ABC's parade course completed for more than 45 years
Several school boats sail together in squadrons and the course participants on ABC's course boats. ABC's courses are structured with different levels of difficulty = Steps. When you book your course, you must choose one of the options: Beginner course = Step 1, continuation course = Step 2, advanced course = Step 3. In order to take an advanced course Step 3, you must have completed at least one Step 2 course or have many years of experience as a sailboat skipper. Note that a course is a step.

Several school boats sail together in squadrons and the course participants on ABC's course boats. ABC's courses are structured with different levels of difficulty = Steps. When you book your course, you must choose one of the options: Beginner course = Step 1, continuation course = Step 2, advanced course = Step 3. The squadron normally consists of several training boats that sail together and primarily concern natural harbours in the middle and outer archipelago, e.g. Ornö, Nämdö, Biskopsön, Björkskär, Sandhamn, Möja, Nassa and others. Each day, the course offers different sailing and navigation elements. The days end with dinner and a summary of the day's exercises.
The school boats are robust keelboats with simple standards and comfort. The course program is adapted to the different education levels (steps) and contains the elements required for the Yachtman´s Diploma (Seglarintyg) 1 or 2 or 3 as well as the basics of the navigation courses.
After completing the course, you are offered the opportunity to take an examination at the same level/step at which your course was completed. There is also the opportunity to write a test for the Inshore Yachtmaster Diploma (Förarintyg)
Step 3 courses offer deepening in trimming and spinnaker sailing. The course participants are offered the opportunity to take the examination for Yachtman´s Diploma 3 and to write tests for the Inshore Yachtmaster Diploma (förarintyg) or Coastal Yachtmaster Diploma (Kustskepparintyg). Course length & Price
ATTENTION! an archipelago course is normally 4 days or 3 days. The theoretical content is the same regardless of course length. The difference in course time (=number of days) is that the longer courses provide more repetition opportunities for the practical exercises.
Previous knowledge:
Steg1: Inga krav.
Step 2: Step 1 or many years as an active gast.
Step 3: Step 2 or many years of experience as a skipper.

"Sailing ABC". Can be purchased from most online book sales companies. Can also be purchased on site at the start of the course with a course discount.
