Step 2. 2 evening course

  • Course content: During 2 evenings (approx. 4 + 6 hours = 10 hours.)  you will learn to safely handle and manoeuvre and navigate a motorboat or motor-driven sailboat.
  • Evening 1 you will learn driving techniques and operating economics. Various situations, such as launching and mooring at a buoy, y-boom and jetty, anchoring in a natural harbour, man overboard manoeuvres, measures before and after take-off, etc. The first course day consists of theory and practical exercises around navigation and manoeuvring.
  • Evening 2 is carried out as an archipelago tour that offers many different situations at speeds of 1-30 knots

Course Objectives

  • Be able to drive (maneuvering and navigation) a motorboat between selected berths in the archipelago.
  • Maneuver and navigate in tight spaces at marinas and natural harbours.
  • Able to dock with a motor boat with the bow, stern, and long side towards the dock.
  • Be able to rescue a person who has fallen into the water.
